Delight in the Lord! Hallelujah!

Psalm 112
The Traits of the Righteous

Hallelujah!
Happy is the man who fears the LORD, taking great delight in His commands.
His descendants will be powerful in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.
Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.
Light shines in darkness for the upright.
He is gracious, compassionate, and righteous.
Good will come to a man who lends generously and conducts his business fairly.
He will never be shaken.
The righteous man will be remembered forever.
He will not fear bad news; his heart is confident (to trust), trusting in the LORD.
His heart is assured (to lean, lay upon, rest) he will not fear.
In the end he will look in triumph on his foes.
He distributes freely to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.
His horn (strength) will be exalted in honor.
The wicked man will see it and be angry; he will gnash his teeth in despair.
The desire of the wicked man will come to nothing.
Did you notice how the Psalm begins with Hallelujah! Why don’t we join the Psalmist and give a shout of hallelujah (praise Yah or Yahweh) to the Lord!

Do you desire to have your heart firmly established? Trust and revere the Lord! Have you ever rejoiced in the doctrines (fundamentals of your faith) but not in the commandments (an authoritative indication to be obeyed)? Do you observe the commandments out of a must or do you observe them with delight? Help us Lord to not look upon your commands as a restriction but instead to “take great delight” in them! In doing so, our hearts will be confident, trusting in the Lord.

Let the self-righteous men praise themselves, but we who have been made righteous by grace give a thankful shout of hallelujah in praise to our Lord and King!

Light shines in darkness for the upright! Shall we be so bold as to announce into the enemy camp to not dare approach for the light of our Lord is in us and we shall not back down! The wicked will see our strength from the Lord and be angry because it is not a worldly acquisition.

DIVA’s, announce ┬áthe grace of our Lord by indicating your memorization accomplishments! Who is in for memorizing Psalm 112?

In His grace,

Amanda
