A Thankful Heart is a Happy Heart

Thank you Lord for Your DIVAs!  Join me in welcoming a new DIVA sister, Sharon!   Let us join together in approaching the throne of grace as we lift her up in prayer.  Thank you Lord for her life.  Bless her with the spirit of wisdom and revelation.  May Your favor be evident in her life.

What a beautiful season.  As we celebrate and remember the Love that came down and graced the inhabitants of Earth over two millennium years ago I pray that it stirs a fresh awakening of thanksgiving in our hearts.  I have included the passages we have memorized.  If they are already pressed to your heart then they are here as a reminder.   If you have more work to go – press on!   If you are new,  you  can begin at the top and work your way down or choose where you would like to begin.  Please remember not to worry about where someone else is in their memory work.  Wherever YOU are is perfect.  Add you name in the comment section and indicate which scripture you are memorizing.  You can do it!  We agree with the Lord that we can do all things through Christ who strengthes us.  Which also means we will make no agreements with the enemy.  You can do it!

Psalm 91

The one who lives under the protection of the Most High dwells in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” He Himself will deliver you from the hunter’s net, from the destructive plague. He will cover you with His feathers; you will take refuge under His wings. His faithfulness will be a protective shield. You will not fear the terror of the night, the arrow that flies by day, the plague that stalks in darkness, or the pestilence that ravages at noon. Though a thousand fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, the pestilence will not reach you. You will only see it with your eyes and witness the punishment of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord – my refuge, the Most High – your dwelling place, no harm will come to you; no plague will come near your tent. For He will give His angels orders concerning you, to protect you in all your ways. They will support you with their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the young lion and the serpent. Because he is lovingly devoted to Me, I will deliver him; I will protect him because he knows My name. When he calls out to Me, I will answer; I will be with him in trouble. I will rescue him and give him honor. I will satisfy him with a long life and show him My salvation.

Ecclesiastes 4:12b

A cord of three strands is not easily broken.

Numbers 15:37-40

Speak to the Israelites and tell them that throughout their generations they are to make tassels for the corners of their garments, and put a blue cord (our cord will be the bracelet) on the tassels at each corner. These will serve as tassels for you to look at, so you may remember all of the Lord’s commands and obey them and not become unfaithful by following your own heart and your own eyes. This way you will remember and obey all my commands and be holy to your God.

Joshua 1:8-9

This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth; you are to recite it day and night so that you may carefully observe everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do. Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

Psalm 24

The earth and everything in it, the world and its inhabitants, belong to the LORD; for He laid its foundation on the seas and established it on the rivers. Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in His holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not set his mind on what is false, and who has not sworn deceitfully. He will receive blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Such is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Lift up your heads, you gates! Rise up, ancient doors! Then the King of Glory will come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, you gates! Rise up, ancient doors! Then the King of glory will come in. Who is He, this King of glory? The LORD of Hosts, He is the King of glory.

A Thanksgiving Proclamation

I will shout triumphantly to Him in song as I enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.  I will not worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, I will let my request be made known to my God.   In doing so, I will allow the peace of the Messiah to control my heart and be thankful!  I acknowledge God’s will for my life in Christ Jesus is to give thanks in everything.  I will call on your name Lord, giving thanks to you and proclaiming your deeds among the people. Your faithful love endures forever! I will stand every morning and evening giving thanks and praise to you for you are good! Yes, you are good.

Psalm 138

I will give You thanks with all my heart; I will sing Your praise before the heavenly beings. I will bow down toward Your holy temple and give thanks to Your name for Your constant love and truth. You have exalted Your name and Your promise above everything else. On the day I called, You answered me; You increased strength within me. All the kings on earth will give You thanks, LORD, when they hear what You have promised. They will sing of the LORD’s ways, for the LORD’s glory is great. Though the LORD is exalted, He takes note of the humble; but He knows the haughty from a distance. If I walk into the thick of danger, You will preserve my life from the anger of my enemies. You will extend Your hand; Your right hand will save me. The LORD will fulfill His purpose for me. LORD, Your love is eternal; do not abandon the work of Your hands.

In His grace,
