What are you thinking?

“May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable (be a delight) to You, Lord…(Psalm 19:14).  Our words are powerful.  They have the influence to build up and the influence to tear down.  We have been on both the giving and receiving end of the consequence of words.  What about the meditation of our hearts?  The times our words and hearts do not agree?  It is the meditation of our heart that then feeds our words.  Have we believed it is harmless when our hearts meditate on unkind, critical, and negative thoughts regarding a person or situation?…

DIVAs, let’s meditate on the things of Christ for these three remain:  faith, hope, and love.  Let’s have faith for the miraculous, hope for the broken places, and love for the unlovable.  In the mighty name of Jesus we are  empowered!

  1. Lord Jesus Christ, let the meditation of my heart and words come with Your authority and anointing in the name of Jesus. I humble myself before You as your servant Lord and as a warrior of the army of God. Amen

    Ladies I have prayed before posting this over myself and anyone who reads this. Their spouses, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, homes, vehicles, finances, workplace, and every area of our life. The war is spiritual warfare! In James 4:7-10 and 1Peter5:6-9. Christians are on the side of victory in Jesus Christ of Nazareth in the Divine Exchange on the Cross. We are called to resist evil and satan NOT run from him. Jesus abides in us and we in Him. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords delegates our power and authority and do not forget Jesus has already won the victory over Satan. Colossians 2-13-15. When we fear a fight with the world(that which is evil), the flesh(weak in power and authority) or Satan or demons, we have a complete misunderstanding of our delegated authoriry in Christ. We miss who is completely doing the actual fighting on our behalf. Our Lord! This authority comes in commanding in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth anything that is not of Christ to leave in every area of our life. Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. We have the free will to choose to believe that in Christ and the full armor of God equips us to confront all evil. In Christ we can live victorious lives in obedience in every season of our life if we just stop bowing to the enemy through fear and know and stand in faith and trust and believe that victory is already ours and nothing, no thing, no one in the world can prevail against the service God has predestined us to walk out while we are in this world doing the works God has prepared for us to do IN CHRIST. Our free will hinders God’s work if we compromise and are paralyzed by fear. We have got to stop ducking our tails and running but choose to Stand in Christ equipped in the full armor of God and confront this world in the whole gospel of God in truth! Period!!! We are His and our eternity is with Jesus but we have the privilege of glorifying Jesus in this world. I love you and pray the Lord ignites a fire in our whole temple to STAND and CONFRONT evil with the power and authority we need to appropriate in Jesus. Amen

  2. Ever since our Bible Study, Breaking Free, I have been challenged with breaking the strongholds that Satan has over me that starts with my thoughts. I am learning that I must be in constant communion with His Presence.

    Philippians 4:8
    Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.
    Colossians 3:2
    Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

    DIVAs, let us all be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

  3. How powerful words are which start from a thought that comes from the heart. Lord, I pray that as I have negative or evil thoughts that I replace them with loving thoughts and then loving words. I know from past experiences that when I speak loving words no matter the circumstances the conversation ends well, but if I lash out the end result is disaster. Nothing ever good results in negative or evil thoughts and/or words. I lift you all up today, my fellow Divas and pray that God speaks to you with His love. God Bless you!!!

  4. Yes I’m willing and wanting to give it a try. I need God to take control of my tongue as well. Sometimes my heart doesn’t want to think or speak negative things but my mouth has a different agenda. I need my thoughts and my tongue to be obedient to Christ. Thank you for this!

  5. Here is what I am thinking – This post is very convicting to me! I spoke to my husband about something yesterday that has been bothering me. I have to confess that I did not wholy seek the Lord’s guidance before taking this concern to my dear husband. I fear my words may have not been led completely by the Spirit.
    I must remember to always let the Lord guide my thoughts and words – our hearts will fail us if not guarded with truth. “My heart and flesh may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:26
    “We demolish argumemts and every pretension that sets us itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ!” 2Corinthians 10:5
    Lord help me to rest in You. Help me to trust You.
