No Gray, Just Black and White

“No one undergoing a trial should say, “I am being tempted by God.” For God is not tempted by evil, and He Himself doesn’t tempt anyone. But each person is tempted when he is drawn away and enticed by his own evil desires.”

James 1:13-14

Abraham was tempted and found approved because he feared God more than he feared the death of his own son. James 1:3 discloses that when our faith is tested (by trial) it produces patience in us. Another application of the word trial means solicitation or allure to that which is evil. Satan is called “the tempter” in Matthew 4:3. In the areas in which our flesh is weak, Satan will seek to create the ‘allure’ or ‘temptation’ to sin in that specific area of weakness. Let us not be unaware DIVAs (Divinely Inspired Victoriously Anointed) of our enemy’s schemes so that he outwits us (2 Corinthians 2:11)! There is something spiritually significant achieved when we stand, confront, rebuke the enemy, and get the victory.  DIVAs the issues really are black and white, not gray…

  1. I saw a sign that spoke to me at Hobby Lobby that said, Lord I Need Thee Every Hour. Isn’t that awesome?! Then the song…. Beautiful & so true. I just moved to another city & have been in a very ” weakened state.” Stressed in this crazy messy house, struggling with different things. Terrible at times! BUT. Thankful I’m coming back! Realizing how much I can’t live without Him & His power! I need Him desperately! I’ve learned some valuable lessons here lately, & learned a lot about myself. Not so good either. But I am encouraged on this beautiful morning! I want to share what a friend told me. I love this so… Much! Shalom in Hebrew means peace. But it’s even better than that! In the ancient PaleoHebrew language they used “word pictures” to write. When you take each letter, looking at the picture that describes the letter, it’s something like this. The letters mean: strong teeth, shepherd’s staff, authority, tent peg to attach, water or chaos. So to sum up Shalom means to destroy the authority attached to chaos! Wow! Halleluyah & Amen! Have a joyful day! Filled with Shalom……..

  2. AMEN! Lord, that we would be equipped with the weapons of warfare that You have prepared for us. That we would not fall prey to the schemes of the enemy in each of our lives. Lord we all have our own sets of weaknesses, that the enemy is all to aware of. Lord that we would be aware of our own weaknesses, that we would rely on You in our weak areas, allowing You to be strong in us. Thank You Jesus for Your faithfulness in our lives. Thank You that we are more than overcomers in, by, and through You, and You only Jesus.

  3. Please Heavenly Father help us to “rewallpaper” our minds with the truth of Your Word….and with the truth of what You say about us and to us. Grant us Your strength and Your wisdom as we endure the trials set before us. May we stand firm in You. When we are weary from the fight, “so that when the day of evil comes we may be able to stand our ground, and after we have done everything, to stand.” Ephesians 6:13
