The Sovereignty of God

“The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD. All the ways of a man are clean in his own sight, but the LORD weighs the motives. Commit your works to the LORD, and your plans will be established. The LORD has made everything for its own purpose, even the wicked for the day of evil.”

Proverbs 16:1-4

Greetings fellow sojourners! Our discussion last week relating to the sovereignty of God really got me thinking! I want to share one of the verses I came across. The overall emphasis here is that man proposes (plans) but God disposes. Isn’t that true! The results of ALL things are in His hands, under His authority, and within His power ~ not ours. Do we know this sweet things or are we still experimenting with what ‘we’ can do?…

  1. Praying for you all, Be safe. I don’t know what God has in plan for but I trust him. I pray in the Spirit so the Holy Spirit guides me. I know I just want to grow closer and be obedient.

  2. To know that the One who holds absolute power and authority, seeks us. He invites us into relationship with Him. He invites us to rest in His strength. He doesn’t force us. Though He absolutely could. That is true freedom. That is true power. He restrains He power on our behalf. What an amazing God He is. What a wonderful, glorious Master, Saviour, King.
My goal, purpose is to live more fully in His strength being yielded to Him in the everyday things of life. So that I will be available and ready for His purposes for me where ever I am.
