“He will not fear bad news; his heart is confident, trusting in the LORD.
His heart is assured; he will not fear. In the end he will look
in triumph on his foes.”
“He will not fear bad news.” As soon as I heard the news I (1) did not stop and pray to the Lord who tells us not to worry about anything, but to pray (Philippians 4:6) hence my heart was not assured and therefore (2) I indeed feared the bad news. Later, as I repented for my lack of trust my heart reminded me that He was holding our son in His hands as He holds all circumstances. What an opportunity we miss for Him to take care of us when we choose instead to handle things ourselves! I so regret my missed opportunity…
